This course develops the algebraic topics that are needed for most basic quantitative courses at the college, including linear equations, rates of change, rational expressions, functions and their graphs, Exponential and logarithmic functions, non-linear systems of equations and related applications. 51ÁÔÆæ can receive credit for only one of the following classes: MTH 1023 or 1030. These courses may substitute for each other in the F-grade replacement policy. The policy on repeating courses covers any combination of MTH 1023, FSPM 1023, MTH 1030, or FSPM 1031. All combinations will be treated identically as three attempts. Not open to students with credit for FSPM 1023, FSPM 1031, MTH 1023, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2002T, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2009T, 2010, 2011, 2030, 2205, 2206, 2207, 2600, 2610, 2630, or any course at the 3000 level or above.
Prerequisite: You must have completed CSTM 0120 or have a valid placement for MTH 1030 in order to register.
